Sierra Valley Flour Sack Towel | A Favorite Greyhound of Prince Albert

by Edwin Landseer [1802-1873]

Edwin Landseer [1802-1873] was an English painter, well known for his paintings and sculptures of animals. His artistic talents were recognised early on, and by age 13 his artwork was on display at the Royal Academy. Landseer's father was a history painter, and he encouraged his son to perform animal dissections in order to fully understand the skelatal and muscular structures. In his late 30's, Landseer suffered from a nervous breakdown, and he dealt with melancholy, hypochondria, and depression for the rest of his life. In 1872 he was declared insane at the request of his family.

Sierra Valley traditional flour sack towels are 100% prewashed cotton, making them lint-free and extremely absorbent.

Sierra Valley flour sack towels are made from non-refined fabrics, so each towel is slightly different, but they all measure approximately 30"x30".

Images are printed onto the towels such that they display fully when folded in thirds and hung on a rack.

Sierra Valley flour sack towels are meant to be used, and become softer and more absorbent after each wash.

Machine wash cold with mild detergent.

Do not bleach. Tumble dry medium heat.

Each Sierra Valley flour sack towel is individually and attractively wrapped.
