Description
Recipe Yield: 30 Servings
Orange marmalade, brown sugar and butter make a sweet and tantalizing glaze for traditional yams.
Ingredients:
35 medium
Yams
2 1/2 cups
Firmly packed brown sugar
2 1/2 cups
Smucker's Orange Marmalade
3/4 cup
Plus 9 tsps. butter or margarine, melted
a pinch of salt
Instructions:
Wash yams. Cover and cook in boiling water 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender; cool.
Peel yams, cut into quarters and arrange in single layer in shallow baking dish.
Combine brown sugar, marmalade and butter and pour over yams.
Bake, uncovered, in a 400 degree F. oven 20 to 25 minutes, basting and turning yams frequently so they glaze on all sides.
