Orange marmalade, brown sugar and butter make a sweet and tantalizing glaze for traditional yams.
Ingredients: |

Yams |
2 1/2 cups |
Firmly packed brown sugar |
2 1/2 cups |
Smucker's Orange Marmalade |
3/4 cup |
Plus 9 tsps. butter or margarine, melted |

a pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Wash yams. Cover and cook in boiling water 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender; cool.
- Peel yams, cut into quarters and arrange in single layer in shallow baking dish.
- Combine brown sugar, marmalade and butter and pour over yams.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 400 degree F. oven 20 to 25 minutes, basting and turning yams frequently so they glaze on all sides.
