Ingredients: |
3 |
Demi Loaves (any flavor) |
1 Tbsp. |
Melted butter or margarine |
1/2 cup |
Real bacon bits |
1 cup |
Grated extra sharp cheddar cheese |
3 Tbsp. |
Chopped chives, fresh or freeze-dried |
Instructions:
- Let dough thaw until pliable. On a lightly floured board, stretch or roll each loaf into a 4 x 12-inch rectangle. Brush dough with melted butter or margarine.
- Evenly sprinkle bacon, cheese and chives over each rectangle of dough. Beginning with 4-inch side, roll dough up tightly in jelly-roll fashion. Pinch dough along seams to seal. Place each rolled up loaf into a greased demi loaf pan.
- Using a sharp knife, make a lengthwise cut down the center of each loaf, cutting 3/4 of the way through to expose to layers of filling. Let the dough rise until it is 1/2-inch above sides of pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes (convection oven 325 degree for 12-15 minutes).
- Remove from oven and pan to cool on wire rack. Loaves slice best when cool.
